Yes! Medical Marijuana has been available in Florida since November 2016. In the beginning, the Sunshine State limited those who qualified to only a few conditions, though over the last year the list of conditions have been broadened tremendously.
The list of qualifying conditions now includes PTSD, Glaucoma, Cancer, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Seizures, HIV+, AIDS, Chronic Pain and so on. The list is rather lengthy, but you can view more qualifying conditions at https://docmj.com/eligibility-survey/
Don’t see your qualifying condition on this list?
That shouldn’t deter you from starting the process of becoming a Medical Marijuana (MMJ) patient! If you experience a condition or symptoms that are of similar kind or class to any of the qualifying conditions, the state has now included that you could still be eligible to become an MMJ patient.
Is it only Low-THC in Florida?
Florida allows for both Low-THC and High-THC recommendations. Your physician will discuss with you the benefits of each and determine if you qualify for Low-THC (also known as CBD), High-THC, or both. Both Low and High THC products are sold throughout Florida’s Licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers. Check out their links to review their products, locations, delivery options and discounts!
