Georgia Partner Dispensaries

In Georgia, the medical marijuana program is still in its infancy, but patients who are approved for medical marijuana can legally get cannabis from licensed dispensaries. Georgia is unique in that it allows low THC cannabis oil for qualified patients, but there are limited dispensaries compared to other states.

Accessing a Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Georgia

To get medical marijuana in Georgia, patients must first get a recommendation from a licensed Georgia marijuana doctor who is certified by the state. Once approved, patients can apply for a Low THC Oil Registry Card, which allows them to buy medical cannabis oil from state-licensed dispensaries. But as of now, Georgia has a small number of dispensaries, and patients may have to travel far to get to them.

The state has been adding to its medical marijuana program in recent years, with new dispensaries opening soon. Currently, the open dispensaries are in select cities, and they offer cannabis oil products with no more than 5% THC.

For patients looking to visit a Georgia marijuana doctor for an evaluation, our Georgia page has information on how to schedule a consultation, including the requirements for getting your Low THC Oil Registry Card. It also has information on how to get medical cannabis in Georgia and dispensary updates.

As Georgia adds to its medical marijuana program, more dispensaries and products will become available. Patients will have more locations, more products, and easier access to the relief they need. The state is working to improve the medical marijuana system for those who qualify.
