Hurricane Relief: Telemedicine Follow-Up Appointments Now Available
In response to the emergency recovery efforts for communities greatly impacted by Hurricane Ian, the Florida Department of Health has reinstated telemedicine services for patients until November 30, 2022.
DocMJ understands the challenges that Florida patients are experiencing in accessing health services after Hurricane Ian. We are pleased to help by providing convenient telemedicine appointments for patients who need to recertify their Florida medical marijuana recommendation.
Who Can Schedule a Telemedicine Appointment?
Any patient who needs recertification can schedule an appointment. If you reside in a County designated for expanded services you can request an appointment online. Our physicians will be available to assist patients with their Florida medical marijuana recommendation follow-up appointments and recertifications.
Patients who schedule a telemedicine or online physician appointment will receive a link for the video call with one of our DocMJ licensed practitioners in their appointment confirmation.
What Information Do I Need to Provide?
Patients who are scheduling a telemedicine appointment for recertification will be required to provide their Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) number. Your patient identification number is found at the top of your MMUR registry card.
Can I Schedule a Telemedicine Appointment if I am Not a Registered Patient?
At this time, we are unable to accommodate first-time medical card applicants. However, you will be able to schedule your appointment at one of twenty-five (25) of our clinic locations across the state of Florida.
