What To Expect At MMJ Evaluations In Houston
DocMJ provides MMJ evaluations for patients throughout Houston and across the state. Often patients find us by searching for how to get a weed card, how to get a medical weed card, or how to get a medical card in Texas.
In Houston and across the state, the medical marijuana card is a medical marijuana prescription. This is sometimes known as a Low-THC prescription. Unlike other states, Texas does not require patients to have medical marijuana cards or complete MMJ card renewals. Once a prescription is added to the Compassionate Use Registry by approved medical marijuana doctors, it’s then acknowledged by Texas state officials.
The Evaluation
Patients complete an evaluation, starting with an instant pre-qualification questionnaire on the DocMJ website. This quickly provides information to the patient on whether they have a qualifying condition and allows them to book an exam with an MMJ doctor online. Next, the patient completes the required intake forms at least 24 hours before the scheduled telemedicine appointment.
All MMJ evaluations are completed by phone, with no in-person office visits required.
At the end of the evaluation, the medical marijuana doctor certifies the patient for a medical marijuana prescription and enters their required information into the state database. Then, the patient can fill their prescription for medical marijuana at a dispensary of their choice in Texas. The process is quick, efficient, and convenient for our patients throughout the Houston area.
